Hi! I’m Yuchuan Deng (邓钰川), a Ph.D. student at the AI & Media Computing Lab (AIMC Lab), Renmin University of China (RUC), supervised by Prof. Xirong Li.

I received my Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Technology from the College of Computer Science, Sichuan University (SCU), advised by Prof. Qijun Zhao.

My research interests include resource-efficient multimodal large language models, ophthalmology-oriented multimodal LLMs, and multimodal video retrieval.

  • Sep 7, 2025 – Officially started my Ph.D. at RUC under the supervision of Prof. Xirong Li in the AIMC Lab. 👨‍🎓
  • Jun 28, 2025 – Graduated with my bachelor’s degree from SCU and honored as Outstanding Graduate of Sichuan Province! 🎓
  • Mar 21, 2025 – Our paper on Text-based Person Search was accepted to ICME 2025! 🎉
  • Mar 1, 2025 – Started a research internship at Baidu, focusing on large-scale model data. 💻
